The Team

Tony Chattin, as Managing Director, oversees the running of MSS Global, key client engagement, and the rebalancing of strategic priorities and operational resources to ensure MSS Global continue to deliver an internationally renowned assurance service.

Spare time sees Tony either kitesurfing, mounting biking, running (increasingly slowly), or being over-protective of his teenage daughter.

Ian Beers, as Performance Director, leads our human resources capability generation and development, the introduction of new schemes and service lines, and provides quality control across the breadth of the company.

Although not known for taking time off, he spends much of it walking his dog Tiffa.

Ray Randall, as Strategy Director, oversees the identification, development, and exploitation of emergent international market opportunities for MSS Global.  He brings a wealth of Board level private security industry experience to our team having served in numerous C-Suite level positions in Triple Canopy and Constellis Group, including SVP Operations and Chief Operating Officer.

Spare time is spent enjoying life in Denmark and the US (and getting out in to the hills when he can).

Juliet Protas, as General Counsel and Board member provides legal and regulatory assurance to support our international client base.  Having previously acted as SVP and General Counsel for Triple Canopy, and Chief Legal Officer for Constellis Group, she has a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory complexities of operating in challenging and fragile environments.

Based in the US, Juliet's limited spare time is spent being a mother to two very energetic children.

Oona Muirhead, CBE is a non-executive director.  She provides strategic depth, intellectual rigour, and with a background in the security industry, is able to support the Board manage the inevitable risks borne of growing the company as it generates a global presence.

Oona’s spare time is spent in the hills, often trekking over alpine hills and cols, or escaping from London to hills of Scotland.

Paul Cook, MBE, joined us at the end of 2014. With a strong background in security, he supports clients in both the maritime and land security sectors across most continents; he also leads our Middle East reach.

Aside from work, Paul is an adaptive dive instructor, giving his own time up to help wounded service personnel and civilians with life changing injuries learn to scuba dive.

Mark Edwards has worked for MSS Global from the early days and covers most of schemes.  A friendly and engaging manner helps him gain the confidence of clients and effectively draw out evidence during audits.

When not auditing, Mark contributes to community activities with the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, giving young people the best possible head start through military themed adventurous training.

Sophie Hibberd holds the fort as the office manager.  She is the finance and human resources point of contact, and oversees our e-presence.  In addition, Sophie makes sure everybody is paid – so she is very important.

Disability from a skiing accident 17 years ago does not slow her down, and when not working, you will normally find her thrashing her dog over the Somerset hills in all weathers.

Evirpidis Karamperidis, based in Greece, hasa broad range of experience which includes running a company involved in defense and law enforcement procurement.  His sector commercial experience, coupled with a Masters in Operational Research, ensures he adds real value for the client .

When not leading our Greek based team, you will find him in the countryside trekking, or underwater scuba diving.

Andy Protheroe is a relatively new member of the team.  With a strong health, safety and environment background supporting a wealth of experience in the high risk security sector, he adds real value.

Andy has only recently discovered what time off means, having invested much time and energy in his Post Graduate Diploma in Safety, Health and Environment.

Alex Peacock brings to the team a broad operational background in the private security industry which has included assurance oversight and operational delivery, so he understands the pragmatic interpretation of standards.

Scott Dumper has worked with us for a few years, having come from being Head of Regulation and Compliance for a large security company. He was awarded the Chevron Medal of Operational Excellence in recognition of his services to the security industry in 2012.

Outside of work you can find Scott white-water kayaking, surfing or looking after his real love, his daughter.
